Trek to Kemmanagundi/ Mullayanagiri
A picturesque plantation town, Kemmanagundi is ringed by the Baba Budan Giri Range and enveloped all around by true Western Ghats beauty. This secluded peak; is also known as KR Hills, having been crowned by Krishna Raja Wodeyar as his summer abode.
It offers ardent trekkers a destination a tryst with adventure. The trail covers a distance of 20 km and will take you through a landscape dotted with lofty hills, extensive coffee estates, innumerable streams and brooks, waterfalls and ornamental gardens all in the middle of lush green forests.
Your day long trek is conducted under the guidance of a certified instructor. You can reach the Kemmanagundi peak by noon, unwind and become one with this breath-taking landscape. You can relish your lunch amidst misty peaks and crisp mountain air. Enjoy the breath-taking panoramic views from the top of the peak.
Delight in the lush greenery and winding trails that take you on the way down. Explore the surrounding estates and nature trails. Return to the foothills by evening and head back to your resort. The next day at the crack of dawn, after breakfast you start on an early morning trek to Mullayanagiri, the state’s tallest peak. The three-hour trek takes you to the top of the peak. Spend as much time as you want amidst the beautiful natural canvas. On your trek downhill, you have the option to detour to the captivating Hebbe Falls. Ample time for a well-earned lunch/high tea near the falls and a trip back to the resort. You can now mark the picturesque trek as part of your rich repertoire of experiences.
